ABOUT
EDUCATION
I am a Greater Manchester-based fine art photographer whose work centres on emotion and the absence of it within our surroundings.
This leads me to work extensively with architecture, exploring the profound influence that built environments can have on how we feel, behave, and experience a space. I am particularly drawn to structure, repetition, light, and the relationship between the individual and their surroundings.
Alongside my architectural work, I explore still life, particularly the traditions of Vanitas and Memento Mori. Through objects associated with memory, mortality, and the passing of time, I create images that consider our relationship with impermanence and the traces we leave behind.
Across both subjects, my work is less concerned with simply documenting what is in front of the camera and more interested in the emotional response, or absence of one, that an image can provoke.
Self-taught photographer, with an independently developed practice focused on black and white fine art photography, architecture and visual storytelling.
