Raimonda Petraite

Raimonda Petraitė (b. 1992), working under the pseudonym mone Kielė, is a contemporary figurative painter.

In her work, the body is not treated as an image, but as an experience — a place where emotion, control, and resistance meet.

Her paintings are defined by expressive gestures, strong contrasts of color, and tense, often uncomfortable figures. The body becomes a shifting territory, where the boundaries between freedom and restriction, vulnerability and defense are constantly renegotiated. Rather than depicting appearance, she focuses on states of being — gesture becomes a form of communication, and posture carries emotional meaning.

The artist graduated from the Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Painting) and later studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at Vilnius University, where she obtained a teaching qualification. She has held solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad, regularly participates in group exhibitions, and her works are held in private collections.
