We are Edita and Mel from Dublin, we called our business MONOFACES. A recession hit Ireland has open up new opportunities for us, it opened up our hidden creativity.
We originally painted acrylic portrait on canvas of our friends, the original photo was taken at their baby girl's christening. Slowly but surely, ideas developed and grew, we started doing music and cinema stars, couples, boyfriends, girlfriends, parents, kids, dogs and many more portraits.
We do graphic portraits of people from the photos - famous and unknown to us, different size canvases and colors at a very affordable prices. We believe we have a sense to capture people's personalities. It's easy with famous people as they are seen a lot and we build up a picture of them in our minds. It's easy to choose a characteristic photo for known people. It's more difficult with people we don't know. We ask people to send us few photos that we can build a picture of them in our minds and choose the most characteristic photo to do a painting.
It can be an original present for birthday, Valentine's Day, Wedding, Christening, Anniversary, any occasion!
