I was born in Rutland, VT. in 1958. I am a painter, book illustrator, kinetic sculptor, political cartoonist and retired art teacher. I served for 16 years as the president of the Northern Vermont Artist Association, and am now the NVAA Vice President. My current work is mostly acrylic on canvas. The artist who inspires me most is Edward Hopper. I am also fond of the work of Roy Lichtenstien, Goya, Daumier, Edward Gorey, Chuck Jones, Winsor McCay, Brueghel, and Robert Crumb. My political cartoon strip "Mr. Brunelle Explains It All" appears in the Funny Times and Humor Times.
I have two BA degrees, one in Fine Arts and the other in History from St. Michael's College. I have an MA in Art Education from Castleton College. I have been exhibiting my artwork in solo and group shows since 1975. To see examples of my political cartoon strip Mr. Brunelle Explains It All, visit www.humortimes.com.
