Louise Mumford

As a result of my study of abstract art in the US I decided to work on abstract expressionism, particularly working on a thematic approach mixing different images together upon a particular idea to form a unified image. My work can be described as bright and colourful, but also with a hint of mystery - what you may call a "˜dark side'. I enjoy painting people and have been given a number of commissions for single and double portraits. The content of my paintings can vary, dependent on what inspires me at the time but I usually do a collection of 3 paintings which cover a similar theme. 3 seems to work for me!
