Hong Zheng

Hi,
My name is Hong and I was born in China and moved to New Zealand over 20 years ago.
My inspiration to become a full-time Artist started from my love of the game of Golf. Many of my works reflect the elegance of Golf's beauty, energy transfer and flow, its natural surroundings, and the ever present mental challenge!
I have spent lots of time developing my skills with pencils and brushes and working with both Chinese ink drawing and Western acrylic painting techniques. As a result images representing thoughts and patterns simply leap into my drawing and painting flow representing a combination of Eastern and Western beauty.
The artist I admire most is Jackson Pollock. He had total freedom to express his own sense of the world and his work is detached from any others. This is the way I like to develop my work.
