Nana is an Ikenobo flower artist and a multidisciplinary visual artist. With over thirteen years of experience in floral practice and teaching, her long-term relationship with plants has shaped her approach to flower arrangement — not merely as a formal aesthetic, but as a way of creating dialogue between nature, space, and people.
She is currently based in Frogtown, Los Angeles, living near the river where nature and community intersect. Much of her creative inspiration comes from the places she has lived, as well as from the accumulation of diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. Through her work, she seeks to engage in conversation with local communities, allowing art to exist as part of everyday life rather than as an isolated display.
During her childhood, Nana lived with her grandparents, who grew up in Taiwan during a period strongly influenced by Japanese education. Their daily rhythms, language, and sense of aesthetics deeply shaped her perception of nature and everyday life. These subtle yet lasting cultural memories later became an important foundation for her engagement with Ikenobo flower arrangement and artistic practice.
