Natali Kavas

I am a textile and mixedmedia artist working at the intersection of sculptural textile forms and fine art photography.
My sculptural works evolve into fine art photographs through collaboration with photographer Kahraman Kavas. Together, we create contemplative artworks that form a quiet, meditative space — a place of inner dialogue where viewers can reconnect with their own meanings and experiences.
Our photographs capture a moment, preserve a state, and become anchors of silence in time.
Textile is my primary material and artistic language. It carries softness, memory, and presence, allowing me to explore vulnerability, corporeality, and inner states.
My works do not demand interpretation or provoke reaction; instead, they invite immersion into a lived experience — a balance of calm and attentive presence.
My methodology combines the tactility of fabric with a solid internal wire structure, balancing stillness and movement, and reflecting the human body and inner experience.
Botanical forms serve as a universal, non-verbal language, free from cultural, ideological, or temporal boundaries.
Color in my work functions as a pause — a space where the viewer can slow down, turn inward, and listen.

Studied design at the Academy of Contemporary Art in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The educational background is complemented by over 15 years of professional experience in film production as a stylist and costume designer.
Since 2018, has been developing a sculptural textile practice focused on the creation of three-dimensional textile art objects.
Since 2025, works in collaboration with a photographer, translating sculptural textile forms into fine art photographic works.
