Natalia Brignoni

I am a visual artist with a background in Graphic Design. My practice unfolds through a sensitive exploration of material, gesture, and process across abstract painting, collage, drawing, and installation.

I investigate subjectivity, emotion, and memory as territories that are activated through making, leaving traces within each work.

In my collages, I use torn tape, cardboard, paper, and layered paint as records of multiple actions. Each material preserves traces of time, movement, and decisions, creating compositions where forms emerge and invite the viewer to pause and discover the details.

My large-scale paintings are conceived as open, ethereal spaces, fostering a contemplative dialogue between the work and the viewer.

Recently, my practice has expanded into drawing, where line and gesture become a direct, intuitive language. These works explore repetition, rhythm, and spontaneity, offering a more immediate and unfiltered expression.

These drawings invite an intimate encounter with line, gesture, and spontaneity, revealing the subtle layers of my artistic practice.

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Universidad ORT, Uruguay.

Artistic training in the studios of Ana Salcovsky, Guillermo Fernández, Hugo Alíes, and Federico Brandt.

Continued education through workshops and programs with artists such as Nicholas Wilton, Louise Fletcher, and Florencia Flanagan.

Participation in contemporary art programs focused on curatorial practice and artistic research.
