Natalia Joubrina

Natalia Joubrina FRSA is a contemporary painter based between London and Lake Como. Since beginning her artistic practice in 2020, she has developed a distinctive visual language that explores the quiet psychology of becoming and how identity is shaped through memory, time, resilience and the unseen moments of transformation. Alongside an international professional career, Joubrina has developed an independent painting practice shaped by observation, symbolism and quiet contemplation.

Working primarily in oil, Joubrina creates contemplative worlds where figures, architecture and natural elements exist in delicate psychological balance. Windows, water, mirrors, moons, staircases and folded forms appear not as fixed symbols, but as open invitations for reflection, allowing each viewer to bring their own experiences and meanings to the work.

Her paintings inhabit moments of quiet transition rather than dramatic events: a paper dress that carries the memory of a body, a reflection revealing hidden courage, a suspended object held between movement and stillness. These images suggest that transformation is rarely sudden, it unfolds gradually, fold by fold and layer by layer.
