Natalia Juarez

Born in Buenos Aires in 1978, I am a self-taught artist with a background in Economics and Fine Arts. I live and work in Buenos Aires, where painting has become an essential way of observing and understanding the human experience.
My work is rooted in an expressionist approach to the human figure. I am particularly drawn to faces, gestures, emotions and the subtle tension between vulnerability and intensity. I am inspired by the people I encounter, both locally and around the world, and by the stories, passions and contradictions that make each individual unique.

My artistic language has been deeply influenced by James Ensor, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Léon Spilliaert, Henri Matisse and Edvard Munch, whose work has shaped my appreciation for expressive line, color, distortion and emotional atmosphere.

Although largely self-taught, I have complemented my artistic practice through courses at MoMA, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires and AEBA. Throughout my development, I have also been fortunate to learn from and be guided by artists Dolores Guerrero, Claudia Burel, Claudio Barragán and Ariel Myroznick.

Today, I devote myself fully to painting, continuing to explore the human figure as a space where emotion, identity and personal experience meet.
