Nataliia Oliferovych, born in Luboml, Volyn region—the last city before the border with Poland and Belarus. Lived there till 17, then studied at Kyiv University of Culture and Arts while exploring other professions. Finding that path incompatible with her sense of honesty, in 2021 focused exclusively on contemporary art. Now studying at an art university in Germany.
Works mainly through visual arts and performance with a feminist approach, exploring female sexuality as a tool of power.
For the past 3 years, has had 2 solo exhibitions in Zurich and Kyiv, performative residences (Salzburg Summer Academy, Palace residency), and works mainly in Berlin and Kyiv. Did solo performances at Schwules* Museum in Berlin, K41 in Kyiv, and many other venues and institutions. Participated in institutional (Neue Nationalgalerie) and underground (90 ml, Berlin) group performances, working extensively with groups and body movement research.
Leads artistic workshops for non-binary, trans, and gender-diverse people, focusing on themes of the body, death, and sexual violence.
Founded the project I DON'T NEED FIRST SEX AID.
