Natasha Ruffio

I’m a contemporary artist based in Sydney, Australia, creating vibrant floral paintings that explore the joyful, emotional and whimsical life of flowers. Rather than painting flowers as they appear, I paint them as they feel—expressive, rhythmic and alive. Before painting full-time, I spent more than 30 years in graphic and book design, working with leading Australian garden and lifestyle publications. That background continues to shape my art through a strong sense of composition, balance and colour harmony. I studied fine art at Sydney’s National Art School and at Waverley Woollahra Art School, where I was mentored by the late artist Stavros Papantoniou. My work has found homes in private collections across Australia and overseas through galleries including Bluethumb, The Online Art Gallery Australia and Saatchi Art. In 2023, I was honoured to win the Open Category at the Randwick Council International Women’s Day Art Prize, and my work has been featured in The Atelier Magazine and The Art Insight.

I studied fine art at the National Art School in Sydney and later honed my skills at the Waverley Woollahra Art School, where I was mentored by the late, acclaimed artist Stavros Papantoniou.
