Natasha Ruffio

I am a contemporary artist based in Sydney, Australia. My vibrant floral paintings explore the emotional and whimsical life of flowers. Influenced by the expressive colour and form of artists such as Matisse, Bonnard, and Gauguin, my work captures flora not simply as it appears, but as it feels—joyful, rhythmic, and alive.
With over 30 years’ experience in graphic and book design, including work for leading Australian garden and lifestyle publications, I hope to bring a refined sense of composition, balance, and colour harmony to my painting practice. I studied fine art at the National Art School in Sydney and at Waverley Woollahra Art School under the mentorship of the late renowned artist Stavros Papantoniou.
My work has been collected in Australia and overseas through online galleries including Bluethumb, The Online Art Gallery Australia, and Saatchi Art. In 2023, I won the Open Category at the Randwick Council International Women’s Day Art Prize, and my work has been featured in The Atelier Magazine and The Art Insight.

I studied fine art at the National Art School in Sydney and later honed my skills at the Waverley Woollahra Art School, where I was mentored by the late, acclaimed artist Stavros Papantoniou.
