I create art across a range of styles, from bold abstracts to detailed realism, experimenting with color, texture, and composition. My work is about exploring ideas visually and challenging how people see familiar forms. Each piece is a chance to push boundaries and invite viewers to look closer. Neilan’s portfolio includes pieces ranging from self‑portraits and figurative works to landscapes and abstract compositions, offering a dynamic breadth of subject matter and style.

Despite being self-taught he has been recognised among peers and institutions: his work has been selected as a finalist in important local and national portrait awards including Brisbane Portrait Prize and Doug Moran National Portrait Prize.
