I'm a Brighton-based painter currently studying Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton. My practice is rooted in figurative and self-referential work, exploring identity, memory, and emotional states through the human form. I often work with oil on canvas, using expressive brushwork, layered textures, and a rich, evolving color palette to create intimate, psychologically charged compositions.

My recent work focuses on self-portraiture and portraiture, incorporating elements of narrative and environment to evoke introspection and presence. I’m interested in how gesture, composition, and materiality can hold emotional weight, often blurring the line between observation and interpretation.

With a background in sculpture, printmaking, and photography, my approach is multidisciplinary and process-led. I prepare many of my own surfaces and often build up paintings through a combination of thick impasto and thin glazes, letting the physicality of the medium guide the final image.

I am passionate about storytelling through visual language and continually expanding the boundaries of figurative painting.
