The artist Nici Tierak had her first formative art experiences at a young age.
Having grown up with her grandparents, she was inspired early on by her
grandfather‘s talent for drawing and poetry.
From 2010 to 2015, she studied communication design with a focus on „film.“
During this time, she created experimental short films that explored the tension
between artistic creation and destruction.
After her studies, Nici Tierak quickly returned to her original form of expression:
painting. Initially, she created works that developed out of dark backgrounds.
Over the years, her style evolved into a powerful visual language dominated by
intense colors, strong contrasts, and the use of neon. Her works are characterized
by a vibrant dynamism and an emotionally charged interplay of colors that unfolds
like a kaleidoscope of inner states.
Today, her focus is entirely on painting. In addition to her independent artistic work,
she designs murals in public spaces and leads workshops for children, teenagers,
and adults.
Her artistic journey remains open—in motion. The style may change, new forms
and colors may be added. But one thing is certain: The art remains.
It is a part of Nici Tierak—always has been, always will be.
