Nicola Tranquillino

I was born in Italy in a small town down south, a place where driving around town while listening to Pink Floyd music was the highlight of the day. I left as soon as I got out of high school, couldn't stand it there one minute longer. I moved to London for 2 years and then to New York City which is where I still live now. I graduated in Filmmaking from NYU, worked and still do as filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, cinematographer. Started painting 5 years ago, starting from scratch, self-taught, figuring it out as i go along.
Painting, and art in general, makes me feel good, gives a meaning to my day. When I paint I work out my existential angst, I get to know myself and the world a little better.
