Theophilus Lantei Mills

My name as an artist is NiiTMills. I am from Ghana. I have worked in oils on canvas for thirty eight years.

I studied art at the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

I also worked as a Television Set Designer with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation from 2000 to 2010.

I have worked as an artist with various Ghanaian artists groups like The Studio Club, Practicing Artists International, The Ghana Association of Visual Artists and Art 233.

1. Tropical Spectrum (solo) - 1988

2. NIGERIANA - Group. With Nigerian artists organised by the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana - 1991

3. NESTLÈ ART EXHIBITION-COMPETITION, 1991- An event in which I won the first prize and enabled me execute a 90×90 inch mural in mosaic tiles on the Nestlè Ghana Headquarters premises.

4. INCEPTION 1992 - Group. The Golden Tulip, Accra.

5. INTERACTION - This was a collection of seven exhibitions from 1993 to 1995. It took the Studio Club and its members around several venues in southern Ghana to exhibit art and enlighten the local and other Ghanaian folk on the essence of visual art.

6. "T" AT THE LOOM - Solo. At The Loom African Art Gallery, Accra, in 1994.

7. THE ARTIST AND HIS ENVIRONMENT - Group. A Goethe Institut collaboration with Ghana Association of Visual Artists in 1995.

8. 100 YEARS OF ACCRA - 1997. A national exhibition-competition in which I won second prize.

9. DIFFERENT COLOURS - A group exhibition with PRACTICING ARTISTS INTERNATIONAL (PAint) at the National Theatre, Accra, in 2002
