Niki Diamond

I am a born and bred Capetonian (from Cape Town, South Africa) and my 'art' story started 17 years ago when I left my job as a fashion trend forecaster at a national retail clothing chain and fell pregnant with my eldest daughter, Jemma.
I had done ceramic art most my life but only ever discovered the art of drawing when I studied Fashion Design after school.
It was suggested that I join an oil painting class with all the free time on hand.
With the odd sale here and there, most my canvas painting were stacking up against my garage walls, adorning my home & my families homes.
Under the guidance of my teacher, I continue to learn more & more. I have made a little studio space for myself to paint at home now, while listening to 80’s ballads, which is my therapy.
Not sure why or how but I started a FaceBook page to show my hobby (art) & I have been overwhelmed by the responses and the sales as well... What a bonus!

Exhibited as part of a group at the Alliance Francaise, Cape Town in 2017 and again in 2018.
