Nima Javan

I am an Iranian-born contemporary artist based in Liverpool, UK. My practice is inspired by Persian miniature painting, carpets, folklore, and the relationship between people, animals, and nature. Through vibrant colours, symbolic forms, and imaginative narratives, I explore themes of cultural identity, migration, memory, coexistence, and hope. Working primarily with acrylic paint, I blend traditional Persian visual language with a contemporary approach, creating dreamlike worlds that invite viewers to discover their own stories. My work has been exhibited internationally in the UK and the United States, and I continue to develop a distinctive artistic language that connects heritage with modern life.
