Nimesha Udani has been passionate about art from childhood. Previously, Nimesha studied and worked in Human Resource Management and also worked as a commercial model, then she became a fulltime artist in 2015. Since then she has realized particular interests and subject matter, such as nature and life, have been soothing themes throughout her life.
She finds watercolor most inspiring and it is her favorite medium to work with. She is essentially self-taught and eager to discover her own style. Nimesha uses her own imagination; if she wants to study a subject or location, she refers to snapshots taken by her or friends and adds her own creativity to the original artwork.
“It is always a joy to breathe with nature. Through my artwork, I try to capture nature. It can be realistic scenery, still life, wildlife or a semi-abstracted blend of nature. Most of the subjects I select from nature are isolated dreamy things that I love to see, feel or live belongs to Sri Lank. When I finish a painting, I feel I own that moment forever. I like a painting that invokes and invites the viewers to journey along with me.
