Oleksandra Samokhina

Oleksandra is a ceramic artist and the founder of Niwa Ceramics, a studio based in Poznań. Her practice is rooted in an intuitive approach to clay—she allows each piece to develop naturally under her hands, letting the material guide its own shape and character. This slow, intentional process gives her work a quiet energy and ensures that every object she creates is truly one-of-a-kind.

Drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, soft irregularities, and the subtle dialogue between shadow and light, Oleksandra’s ceramics often echo forms found in nature without directly replicating them. Her sculptures and functional objects carry a sense of ease and groundedness, revealing textures shaped by touch and curves that appear as if they’ve been gently eroded over time.

Each object she creates is unique, shaped with intention, and designed to harmonize with everyday environments while carrying the quiet energy of the natural world.
