Nicholas Chen

NJC Photos is an unconventional and exciting photography business that is not confined to the studio. Chief photographer Nicholas J. Chen primarily works in natural lighting and shoots a range of genres, from portraits and landscapes to sports and action photography.

Although working in all genres, Nicholas prefers street photography and photojournalism, conveying striking stories with his images. Inspired by phenomenal street photographers such as early 20th-century Frenchman Henri Cartier-Bresson, mid 20th-century American Saul Leiter, and contemporary New Yorker Bruce Gilden, Nicholas appreciates a more candid, authentic interaction with his photographed subject to fully capture its personality, spirit, and reality.

Nicholas J. Chen is a New York-based photographer residing in Long Island, using Fujifilm cameras for any and all genres.

Currently working on Long Island with The Explore Page (parkour, calisthenics, and freerunning group) to take sports and action photos
