Noel Tweedie

I live and work in Downpatrick, Co Down, Northern Ireland. Downpatrick is the burial place of St. Patrick,
patron saint of Ireland. I am primarily a painter, mainly oil on canvas. I paint portraits, figurative works etc.
All my work is original from life or/and my own photography. I also write poetry and am increasingly
incorporating my poetry into my paintings. I paint what excites and interests me.

I was born in Northern Ireland and went to primary school
in East Belfast ( Same school and period as Van Morrison)
Then to Orangefield Boys High. I started working at 17 years of age and after starter jobs joined publishing as a creative artist and copywriter. Most of my career has been related to creative art and creative ideas to sell goods and services.

I have only appeared in a few local exhibitions and mainly sell my paintings to people who visit my art studio.
To introduce myself to a wider audience i have submitted paintings to the Royal Ulster Academy and put my first paintings and photographs exclusively on The Saatchi Art Site. My poetry has gone to the Patrick Kavanagh Society.
