Nora - Le

Leonora Vekić (b. 1970, Belgrade) is a visual artist working in textile art, installation, and mixed media. Her practice includes both three-dimensional installations and two-dimensional works derived from her installations, often realized through digital manipulation and printing on diverse surfaces. Using unconventional materials such as plastic, synthetic fibers, metal, and plexiglass, her work explores polarities such as permanence and impermanence, memory and forgetting, and the fleeting nature of the moment.

In 2022, she completed a doctoral art project exploring immersive textile environments. Vekić is a full professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade. She has received several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix of the ULUPUDS May Exhibition, and has exhibited internationally at World Stage Design (Sharjah, UAE), the Tapestry Triennial in Łódź, the Seychelles Biennale, Small Works in Fiber (SOFA Chicago), and the Issey Miyake Design Store (Tokyo). Her works are part of public and private collections, including the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade and the Bortolaso-Totaro-Sponga Foundation.
