I was unheard until I painted

For nearly three decades, I lived with an undercurrent of anxiety, anger, and a quiet despair that I couldn’t name. The world saw someone reserved, introverted perhaps even fragile. But that wasn’t me. I wasn’t born afraid. I wasn’t meant to shrink.
I was simply unheard.
I had so much to say, but no place to say it.
Inside, I was screaming for connection, for a space to breathe, to be seen, to be understood.
I had been labelled, dismissed, misread. I sought attention not out of ego, but because I had been ignored for so long, I began to question my own worth.
I didn’t want pity, I wanted a way out.
I didn’t want healing handed to me, I wanted to fight for it.
And then, I touched paint.
It began with colour. Texture. Movement. And something inside me shifted.
Paint didn’t ask questions. It didn’t judge. It allowed.
It became the first space where I didn’t need to explain myself.
Where I could play, scream, collapse, rebuild all without words.
But small canvases were not enough. I had waited too long.
I needed large, very large spaces to speak.
Because what I carried inside me couldn’t be contained. I had to pour it out. Spill. Expand. Exist loudly.
I chose abstract art because it cannot be controlled. ...

None. I am a self-taught artist and have been experimenting between pure abstract to figurative abstract/ modern art.
I would classify myself as an emerging artist. with the continuous engagement in the last few years amidst the art fraternity in Dubai and being recognized by galleries and media
