I was born in the port city of Danzig, later lived in Hamburg, and eventually found my home in Berlin. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. I have never connected with conceptual art – my work comes directly from my emotions, my inner tensions, and the feelings that move me. As a neo‑expressionist, I embrace bold color, raw energy, and sharp, decisive brushstrokes on canvas. I am an artist working across multiple disciplines, from painting and photography to digital art, objects, and spatial constructions. My works are not ideas; they are experiences.
How do I work? In winter, I usually focus on art theory, continue preparing my book on the subject, and work digitally, becoming a creator of computer‑based art. The results of this can be seen, among other projects, in my “Kafka” series inspired by my time in Prague. In the summer season, I paint in my studio in the Erzgebirge. That is when I feel like a true artist. I smell the paint, I hear the brush scraping across the canvas.
