Oksana Salminen

I am a contemporary artist working primarily with oil on canvas, inspired by the emotional connection between people and nature, light, atmosphere, and memory. My work explores quiet places, fleeting weather, and moments of stillness that invite the viewer to pause and breathe. Whether it is rain over a city street, reflections on water, or a forest opening to sunlight, I aim to capture the poetry hidden within everyday scenes.

I combine the softness of Impressionism with the clarity of Realism to create paintings that feel both atmospheric and detailed. Layered brushwork, muted tones, and luminous highlights allow each canvas to carry a sense of calm, warmth, and introspection. My goal is not simply to depict a landscape, but to communicate a mood — the comfort of silence, the hope of light, and the beauty of ordinary moments.

My artworks are created for modern living spaces, meditation areas, peaceful interiors, and homes seeking emotional balance and harmony. Collectors often describe my paintings as soothing, reflective, and timeless — pieces that bring a gentle and grounding presence into a room.

Studied at Tallinn Art School. Later, Oksana attended the Fine Arts faculty at the University of Arts and Milan Art Institute.
