Oksana Shulga (born 1976) is a contemporary artist and illustrator who works with a variety of media, including oil, pastel, ink, and watercolor.
Her work explores movement, the introduction of color, and space; it ranges from the realistic to the highly stylized, leaving room for the viewer’s imagination. Each new piece conveys its own unique mood and a distinct, specific feeling. Through a multi-layered painting process—often combining different techniques, such as watercolor applied in textured layers topped with pastel—and a rich, diverse palette, she creates works that are both atmospheric and deeply personal.
She has participated in international exhibitions in Finland, France, Mexico, Portugal, Slovenia, and Russia. Her works are held in private collections in Finland, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
She is a member of the National Union of Pastelists and has illustrated nine books for various publishing houses. She lives and works in Moscow (Russia) as well as in Finland.
