Ola Munzar

I am a visual artist; designer, academic lecturer; mother of three kids and one dog.
In my works I explore the importance of the medium and material, fetishes, as well as women related topics, such as corporeality and social roles. I value a joke as an important tool in design, especially speculative one.
I run practical classes in design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, as well as my own lectures on materials science, which I prefer to call „material sensing”. At work with students, I focus more on the experience and the process than on the result itself.
Despite over 30 years in art, I still can get emotional in front of a painting. I never part with a 6B pencil.
I live and work in Warsaw and wear a mole on the right and heart on the left side.
