Her work explores perception, emotional states, and the subtle psychological tension hidden within ordinary spaces, objects, and moments. For Olena, photography is not only a visual practice but also a way of expressing inner experience and creating a personal dialogue with the world.
Working with atmosphere, silence, minimal forms, and spatial relationships, she creates images that function less as documentation and more as emotional presence. Her photographs often focus on quiet details, traces of human existence, fragility, distance, and the suspended feeling of time. Whether working in black and white or colour, she approaches photography as a language capable of conveying mood, memory, and states that are difficult to articulate directly.
Alongside photography, Olena also experiments with artificial intelligence, ceramics, and drawing, expanding her artistic practice through different materials and forms of visual expression.
Trained as a lawyer, she considers the Kyiv School of Photography her photographic alma mater and continues her professional development with the Form Photo Academy in Paris.
Her photo books, series, and individual works have received awards, nominations, and honourable mentions at international competitions including the Prix de la Photographie de Paris (Px3), International Photography Awards, Black and White Spider Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards, London International Creative Competition, and International Color Awards. Her photographs were published in the photobook 100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers and presented in the exhibition Contemporary Ukrainian Photography at NuArt Gallery. Her works have also been exhibited at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography.
