Olesia Amrein

I‘m a contemporary artist from Ukraine, since 2020 live in Switzerland. In my practice, I explore the interaction of materials and artistic approaches in search of answers to profound philosophical questions of existence. My work blends experimentation with various media, meticulous attention to detail, and a pursuit of aesthetic harmony.

I am fascinated by the dialogue between the physical and the metaphysical, the visible and the hidden. Through the interplay of form, color, texture, and visual language, I seek to capture the subtle nuances of human perception — those fragile moments of inner stillness and reflection, when reality brushes against the imaginary and the material merges with the immaterial. My practice is an attempt to comprehend the nature of existence, the passage of time, and the place of the human being within the intricate structure of the world.

The main techniques of my work are drawing, hand printing and collage. I work with acrylic, ink, hand printing and mixed media.
