"At the beginning of my life there was music. Then family dynamics brought about a change of emphasis and I sought painting as an outlet for my anxious spirit. Later, over many years, I moved from figurative to abstract, constructivism to a freer expression, reaching for spontaneity, spirit, soul, an instant of infinity, a flash of awareness, a streak of inspiration, a touch of beauty... these are the highs I now live for and that I aspire to with my paintings. A detail or even a blur represent the fleeting character of the moments I wish to prolong.

My work at present is with acrylic paints which are a flexible medium allowing for thoughtful changes or complete spontaneity. The artist becomes the painting he is developing to the point that it is almost more real than himself. The painting seems more alive and personal for the artist and also for the viewer open to new ideas or experiences. Results are either sudden or come by increments, by feeling - the stages visible through unlocked lines and layers on the one hand or, alternatively, by the unhampered blending of pools of pure color."
