Olga Vakhonina

Having received a higher art education at the Moscow State Textile University named after A.N. Kosygin, I have worked as a costume designer for more than 20 years: in cinema - creating historical images (with film director Marlen Khutsiev) as a clothing designer, stylist on the “REN TV” channel and an artist in "8FIGHT" production ( with director and Ukrainian screenwriter Yurii Laguta). I transferred my love for a holistic, thoughtful image, a diverse stylistic interpretation of the costume and its details to my art and embody it in several series of works: the Himalayan "Achromatic neural networks", the Nepalese "Between mountains and lakes" and the Goan "Microcosm sand’s of grain". Since 2022, I have been traveling around Southeast Asia, living among local residents, observing local communities, and exploring the diffusion of identity in these places. My work are emotional with large spots, graphic elements, colour schemes, draws small jewellery items, mixes techniques, materials and styles, achievingmy own unique picture. The basis ofmy art is a game with style, as a fundamental basis for depicting something. The artworks are in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, Tatarstan, Germany, UAE, India.
