Olivia Mròz explores how feeling becomes image. Her practice is concerned with emotional and psychological experience, and the ways subconscious states can be translated into visual form.
Moving between the sensual and the unsettling, the beautiful and the strange, her work draws on surrealism, eroticism, the abject, contemporary culture and early photographic imagery. She works across photography, image-making, fashion and material, using both digital and analogue processes.
With over a decade of experience across fine art, fashion, editorial, commercial and product photography, Mròz brings an established photographic language to a multidisciplinary practice.
- Master of Contemporary Art, VCA, University of Melbourne
- Bachelor of Photography, Photography Studies College, Melbourne
