Oscar Leonor

I was born in Segovia (SPAIN) in 1976, self-taught draughtsman and painter since many years.

My interests are very wide, I conceive drawing and painting as a tool for discovering and finding oneself. Shape that forgotten, buried self so that it comes to light. I appreciate above enerything the improvised creative process, the paintings should follow their own route and I demand from them surprise and mistery. This atitude has taken me throught different ways along my painting career trying different techniques and formulas such as the still life, depiction of personal objects, symbology, human body, etc.

My style is figurative, I work on achieving a technique agile enough so that I find free myself to compose using different resources: painting gesture, abstraction, signs, even realism, to get a kind of puzzle or collage where everything fit and each part talks with each other.
