October — Sculptor/Painter

2013 Graduate of The Florence Academy of Art's 3-year Master of Arts in Studio Art program in Firenze, Italia.

So, what do I do?
I sculpt in clay, plastilina, or wax, then cast into bronze.

My subject is primarily the human portrait or figure, which I approach with reference to the classical figurative expression tradition, stark anatomy, and subtlety. For some of my artwork, I integrate classical sensibilities with a touch of Japanese anime/manga techniques and peculiarities.

Although my main focus is sculpture and painting, I also work in mixed media art installations, and some wood carving.
