Jeffrey Gougeon is a Canadian born painter currently living in Singapore. Since completing his BFA from Concordia University, Jeffrey has had numerous exhibitions, both group and solo, in the places he has lived including Montreal, Seoul and Vancouver, where his work is included in private collections in each of those locations. His abstract works, whether on paper, canvas or digital, explore the relationship that colours have with each other. He has a minimalist approach to line and shape concerning himself with the rhythmic qualities of repetition. He has been equally influenced by abstract painters like Agnes Martin, Sean Scully, and Brice Marden as he has by the music of Brian Eno or Philip Glass
