Pablo Quinteiro is an Argentine figurative painter whose work explores the tension between realism and expression.
After several years immersed in hyperrealism, his search led him to what he calls gestural realism — a freer, more emotional way of painting that still holds on to structure.
He currently works on intimate portraits, created with a reduced palette of earthy tones, visible brushstrokes, and a gestural style that seems to melt the faces and reveal something deeper beneath the surface.
He's not interested in perfection, but in presence — the human trace behind each stroke.
His process is intuitive, spontaneous, and based on the idea that variation and essence can coexist within a single face.
He lives and works in Buenos Aires. His work has been exhibited in different cities across Argentina, and some of his paintings have been acquired by people in Europe and the United States through online platforms.
Pablo Quinteiro es un pintor argentino que actualmente trabaja desde el realismo gestual, combinando estructura y libertad en retratos íntimos con pinceladas visibles y paleta reducida.
