Bianca Davis

I'm a painter from Detroit. My concentration lies in narrative and figurative painting. I'm more concentrated in the male figure, but I'm not opposed to the female figure. My paintings are inspired by my heroes, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, a master classical painter, Peter Paul Rubens, a Baroque master painter, and Donato Giancola, an amazing illustrator and painter. I inspired to convey stories and morals to my audience through my allegorical paintings. My goal is to have viewers see the beauty and grace of the male figure and masculine energies as a virtue instead of a sin. Hopefully I will achieve mastery over the male figure in the next five years so it can be depicted in different scenarios, atmospheres, and ideas. My purpose is to further the passion of the figure and create paintings that are personal, expressive, beautiful, and skillful. By creating such paintings, I hoped to represent the order, beauty, and harmony of the male figure. I want to influence the future generations of men that they shouldn’t be ashamed of being male and shouldn’t curb themselves just for women’s approval. I studied and majored in illustration at College for Creative Studies. A bachelor's degree was rewarded to me in May 2020.
