Pam Guhrs - Carr

Born in Malawi, raised in the rural African bush of Zambia. Inspired by womens' initiation practices in my life experience my work is about transformation. The materials I use reflect the change and uncertainty within transformations, such as tar, lime, paper and wood.

MA in Fine Arts researching initiation material culture and rock art from University of Witwatersrand in process.
