Patrice Kombot-Naguemon

I am a France-based abstract artist exploring the relationship between colour, texture, movement and space.

My artistic journey began in London in the late 1990s, where I developed a series of abstract works experimenting with geometric forms, layered compositions and unconventional materials.

Today, I work primarily with epoxy resin, pigments, acrylic paint and mixed media on wood, creating original pieces that combine fluid movement, depth and sculptural textures.

A distinctive feature of my practice is the creation of reversible artworks. Many of my paintings are double-sided, with two entirely different compositions sharing the same physical support. This allows a single artwork to offer two visual identities and transform the atmosphere of a space.

I also create commissioned works, adapting dimensions, colours and compositions to their intended environment.

My approach balances deliberate artistic choices with the unpredictable behaviour of materials, allowing each work to develop its own unique character.

I see my paintings not simply as images, but as objects that interact with light, architecture and the spaces they inhabit.
