Born on 10 july 1997 in Chortkiv, Ukraine Work and live in Katowice, Poland 2015 – till now Academy of Fine Art in Katowice, Painting Department
I work with painting, installation, performance and video. The main topics of my work are contemporary geopolitical events, as well as world and Ukrainian history. I transform my own experiences into works of art, then I collide them with images of collective memory, world history, and contemporary social and political problems. In my practice, I often talk about war and conflict. I am interested in the world of victims and torturers, as well as in situations in which there is contact with the Other not only in the situation of conflict. The core focus of my work is a critique of xenophobe and chauvinism, which are so exaggerated during military conflicts. My understanding of art is based on a need to be sincere.
