From the speech given by Fernando Perpiná Robert at Péter Ridovics’ exhibition:
“Every painting of Peter Ridovics is, indeed, full of life, full of his passion for life, full of his
intense emotional relationship with the object he paints. Light plays an essential role in his
paintings and that is why it has been written that “his motivations are endless since he is
living in a world of changing light.”
Fernando Perpiná Robert,
Ambassador of Spain,
Budapest,
04. 12. 2000.
“We are in the world to be at home in it. Indeed, the dominant aesthetic, visual quality of these
pictures is the non-alienated life, and the beauty that carries it. In Ridovics’ composition and
colours, the themes of humanity are in harmony, and such aesthetic qualities, such as ugliness, grotesqueness are lacking or barely appear. The artist’s ars poetica encourages him to seek the themes and tools that express the approval of life, to see the beauty and humanity, and he finds these in his interiors, portraits, landscapes, stills, or in appropriation of interpersonal relationships.”
