Petr Hricko

I was born in 1976 in Teplice, Czech Republic.
I discovered photography in 2003, during a difficult time in my life. I had been diagnosed with cancer, and a friend brought me a camera to the hospital to lift my spirits and help shift my thoughts elsewhere. From that moment on, I began capturing everything that caught my eye and stirred something within me.

Since 2012, photography has become my profession. I've had the chance to work on meaningful and inspiring projects. Since 2014, I’ve focused more on using photography to help in some way whether through awareness, support, or simply by telling stories that matter.

I’m drawn to portraits, nature, and street photography. Recently, I’ve been exploring creative techniques like levitation and enjoy pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.

Photography, for me, is more than just work it’s a way to speak to the heart. I photograph with feeling, with respect for the moment, the emotion, and the person in front of the lens.

I love animals, especially dogs. They are honest, loyal, and pure. I feel the same about nature it’s a space where I can return to myself.
