Phe Luxford

My work explores the intersections of art history, femininity and the erotic. Influenced by Hannah Höch, Hilma af Klint, female Surrealists and 18th-century Japanese nature painting, I create painted and digital collages where floral motifs, body fragments and decorative objects become vehicles for desire, memory and inner vision. I work across acrylic, watercolour and digital media to evoke quiet, contemplative and sensually charged spaces that invite viewers to bring their own stories to my images.
