Philip Malkin

Philip Malkin is a media artist living in the Pacific Northwest. His work has been exhibited in photography and art shows across the United States and published in several art anthologies. The focus of his practice is the built environment.

Philip grew up in a suburb of New York City. He has always been interested in the arts, first as a music student and later visual art. He first studied photography at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He earned his Masters of Fine Arts in Generative Systems (art and technology) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Philip’s art practice derives from his training in fine arts and background as a commercial photographer. He creates large-scale artworks and self-published artist books.
