Philipp Kahler, born 1969 in Austria, specialises in primitive photography and alternative processes.
Modern digicams can take perfect pictures within a second, but in a rational world full of highly efficient tools you need some alchemy to keep you sane.
Aquarelle paper is grinded, pre-coated, made light sensive. Then it takes one full day of sunshine to print the image by the means of nothing but sunshine, alchemy and pure water.
Philipp uses wooden boxes with lenses build from eyeglasses to take the picture. The print is done with a process discovered 1848.
Singular photo paintings of the modern world, drawn by the pencil of nature.
