Pier Maurizio Greco

Pier Maurizio Greco was born in Modena, lives and works in Rome.
From the end of the 1980s he used photography as a tool for investigation and research, starting from material textures and details of random objects. Shortly after he began to paint, creating works characterized by a strong abstract matrix, attributable to an informal tonal and sign, in which ethnic suggestions and references to symbolic images emerge, modified. In recent years a synthetic process takes shape, where the pictorial surface is present in the territory of contiguity between objective reality and abstraction.

He graduated in History of Contemporary Art at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and is a qualified teacher (competition class 61A). He attended painting courses, experimenting above all the potential of acrylic colors.
He has written texts, articles, and selected exhibitions. He has been a publicist since January 2011, registered with the Order of Journalists of Lazio
