Pierre Salvatore

Pierre Salvatore works from photographic archives of the 1970s to 1990s — negatives found in artists' studios, studies of the body made in natural light, with grain as the only mediation. He re-works these images in deep black and white, searching in each shadow and highlight the tension between what light reveals and what it refuses to show. The body is never identified.
